Nurse Practitioner

Maria Koen manages both Type 1 and 2 diabetes in the out and inpatient setting. She is interested in helping patients develop advanced self management skills when appropriate including pump therapy and CGM. My bicultural background prepares me well to care for patients and families of Hispanic heritage.

Having participated as a member of the inpatient consultation team I have developed expertise in managing diabetes in patients with concurrent acute medical and psychiatric illness.
