Dr. Sando Baysah Ojukwu has an A.B. in Biochemical Sciences with a Minor in Health Care Policy from Harvard College, graduating cum laude, a Master in Public Health with a concentration in Global Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and a Medical Doctorate from the Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University. She completed her Pediatric residency and a fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Dr. Ojukwu’s clinical research focuses on defining and ameliorating risk factors for suboptimal glycemic control in vulnerable youths with Type 1 diabetes. She utilizes Type 1 diabetes as a lens through which to advance health equity nationally and internationally.
