Marilyn Ritholz, PhD, is a Senior Psychologist at Joslin Diabetes Center. She treats adults and adolescents with diabetes. In addition, she supervises staff in their clinical work. Dr. Ritholz also is on the faculty at Boston Children's Hospital and teaches about conducting clinical supervision with psychology trainees. 

Dr. Ritholz is an experienced qualitative researcher who has conducted qualitative studies using both in-depth interviews and focus groups. She collaborated with Dr. Weinger on qualitative research exploring the patient-provider relationship and also provider communication about diabetes complications; she has published several qualitative articles on these topics. She also collaborated with Dr. Howard Wolpert and has published qualitative research exploring psychosocial factors associated with diabetes technology.

Presently, Dr. Ritholz is collaborating with Joslin's Dr. Elena Toschi on a qualitative study of Continuous Glucose Monitoring as well as the multi-site Hypoglycemia Awareness Restoration Program (HARP).
