Jacqueline I. Shahar is a Clinical Exercise Physiologist and Diabetes Care and Education Specialist. She provides one-on-one consultation on exercise and diabetes for people with prediabetes, type 1, and type 2 diabetes, LADA, and MODY, with a focus on improving body composition, promoting weight loss, improving sports and exercise performance and healthy eating. In addition, she works with novice and elite athletes who train for competitions and sports games.
Jacqueline has designed the exercise program for the Joslin Clinic’s medically based diabetes and obesity program, Why WAIT, and delivers group and individualized exercise sessions. She presents on exercise and diabetes at national conferences.
Jacqueline is passionate about exercise and healthy eating, and enjoys making a difference in people’s quality of life, using exercise as medicine. In addition, she served as Fitness Combat Trainer in the defense forces.
