Dr. Elizabeth Halprin joined Joslin Diabetes Center in 2000. She is the Clinical Director of the Adult Diabetes section, and sees people with type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Additionally, Dr. Halprin sees women with preexisting diabetes who are preparing for pregnancy, during pregnancy or with gestational diabetes. Her clinical interests include diabetes in pregnancy, under-served communities and diabetes in Latino populations.

Dr. Halprin participates in the inpatient diabetes care at both New England Baptist Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She is fluent in Spanish and also sees patients through Joslin's Latino Initiative. She sees adults of all ages, is versed in diabetes technology and the latest developments in diabetes research and treatment.
