Effect of Consumption of Dairy Products on Glycemic Control, Body Weight and Cardiovascular Risk Factors in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes

The purpose of this study is to compare the effects of low fat and full fat dairy products on blood sugar control in people with type 2 diabetes.

The study involves:

  • 3 visits to Joslin Diabetes Center over 24 weeks
  • 5 follow-up phone calls
  • Blood tests and body fat measurements
  • Meeting with a dietitian
  • Keeping a food log

Monetary compensation, parking validation and reimbursement for dairy product purchases will be provided for eligible study participants.
