Joslin's Clinical Guidelines for Diabetes -- Revised Pocket Edition
The newly revised Joslin's Clinical Guidelines for Diabetes -- Pocket Edition (Opening the Door to Patient Communication) is designed to provide, in a convenient, accessible format, the essential diabetes treatment protocols from Joslin Diabetes Center. Joslin’s Diabetes Clinical Guidelines are developed for use by healthcare providers at Joslin and in the community, and are established after careful review and analysis of current medical literature and sound clinical practice. They are then reviewed and approved by Joslin’s Clinical Oversight Committee.
Joslin Diabetes Center currently has seven approved Guidelines for diabetes treatment. The most widely applicable of these Guidelines and the ones drawn on most for the creation of Joslin's Clinical Guidelines for Diabetes – Pocket Edition are Clinical Guideline for Adults with Diabetes and Clinical Guideline for the Pharmacological Management of Type 2 Diabetes.
In addition to diabetes treatment guidance, however, Joslin’s Clinical Diabetes Guidelines – Pocket Edition also offers advice from Joslin to primary care providers about how they can best use these Guidelines with their patients to engage them in their diabetes treatment and to improve their outcomes.
