This included leading two transformational reorganizations of multiple non-profits. Upon completion of graduate school, she served as a researcher at Harvard Business School for two years.

Shaheen has a successful track record as a leader in the public sector at the local, state and national levels. Governor Lynch appointed her to serve as Chair of the New Hampshire Commission on the Status of Women. As a result of her leadership on the board of a local performing arts organization, Shaheen was awarded New Hampshire’s 40 Under 40 designation. Along with her daughter who lives with Type I diabetes, Shaheen currently serves as National Chair for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Children’s Congress and Foundation’s Government Relations Committee.

Shaheen was a key leader and spokesperson in Jeanne Shaheen’s successful bids for the U.S. Senate and Governor. On November 4, 2008, Jeanne Shaheen became the first woman in American history to serve as both a Governor and U.S. Senator of a state.

A graduate of Harvard's Kennedy School of Government, Shaheen was a student delegate to the International Academy of Achievement. She graduated magna cum laude from Fairfield University while competing as a Division I scholarship athlete. While attending Fairfield University, Shaheen was recommended for a Fulbright Scholarship.
