Elizabeth Halprin M.D.


Endocrinologist and Gestational Diabetes Specialist

Elizabeth Halprin, M.D., is a staff endocrinologist at Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston and a member of the Joslin Latino Diabetes Initiative. She also participates in The Pregnancy Clinic, a Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Joslin Clinic collaborative program for the care of women with diabetes in pregnancy. Additionally she holds monthly sessions at the Joseph Smith Community Health Center in Allston, Mass. for people with diabetes.

Dr. Halprin is an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Halprin graduated from the Instituto Superior de Ciencias Medicas in Havana, Cuba, where she finished with highest honors. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the Cambridge Hospital in Cambridge, Mass. and her fellowship in endocrinology, metabolism and nutrition at Boston Medical Center/Boston University. Dr. Halprin has been at Joslin Clinic since August 2000.
