Bananas Havana
Ingredients:
3 large ripe, firm bananas cut in half crosswise 1 fresh lime, quartered Butter-flavored cooking spray 1 tablespoon reduced-fat margarine 2 tablespoons light brown sugar 3 tablespoons rum (optional) 1 tablespoon sliced almonds
Peel the banana and cut in half lengthwise. Squeeze lime juice over each banana quarter.
Lightly coat a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray. Add the margarine and place over medium heat. Add the bananas and sauté for 2 minutes per side, turning once. Sprinkle the bananas with brown sugar; sauté for 1 minute more.
Remove from the heat and pour on the rum (if using). Carefully ignite the rum and shake the skillet until the flames are extinguished. Sprinkle with the almonds and serve 2 quarters per person on individual dessert plates.
